The trade unions affiliated to national parties such as Congress, BJP, CPI-M, CPI and others have also called two-day nationwide general strike on February 20-21.
The trade unions including CITU of CPI-M, AITUC of Congress, BMS of BJP are also demanding assured pension for all, strict enforcement of labour laws, reinstatement of workers who were terminated "illegally" and withdrawal of the false cases against the workers of Maruti plant in Manesar, Gurgaon.
They also adopted a resolution where they condemned the recent rape of a 23-year old girl in Delhi and blamed the administration for failing to provide security to people.
