The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) today held an "All Party Traders Parliament" to demand the stopping the ongoing sealing drive being carried out by municipal corporations.

The traders demanded immediate stoppage of the sealing drive and said that blaming traders for every problem is a "wrong practice", claiming no action is ever taken against officials who are "responsible for the mess".

According to a statement issued by the CAIT, BJP's Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari and Congress' Delhi unit chief Ajay Maken were also present at the meeting besides trade leaders of more than 200 prominent trade associations of the city.

CAIT secretary general Praveen Khandelwal said, "In the wake of recent observations of the Supreme Court and dilapidated condition of Delhi coupled with traders stake in such problems, the CAIT will soon release a 'White Paper' and will conduct a citywide campaign 'Halla Bol'."
