Traffic advisory for Raksha Bandhan day

Expecting increased traffic on Raksha Bandhan tomorrow, Delhi police today issued a traffic advisory urging people to use Metro services and other public transport to avoid congestion on roads.
"Due to Raksha Bandhan celebrations on Tuesday, traffic congestion is expected in certain areas of Delhi and New Delhi, people are advised to use Metro services and other public transport to avoid congestion on roads," a Delhi Traffic Police advisory said.
There is likelihood of slowing down and congestion in traffic throughout the city due to increased traffic on roads. General public and motorists are advised to plan their journeys keeping in view the increased traffic congestion and plan their journeys keeping sufficient extra time so that possible delays can be taken into account, the advisory said.
According to Delhi police, the roads affected the most would be Wazirabad Road, Road No. 66, Road No. 56(ISBT Anand Vihar), G T Road Shahdara, Mathura Road (Near Badarpur), M.B. Road, NH-8 (Dhaula Kuan, Mahipalpur), Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, Najafgarh Road, Patel Road, said a traffic police statement.
Other areas likely to see traffic congestion include Road No. 41 (Rohini), Connaught Place area, Karol Bagh area, Vikas Marg, Aurobindo Marg, Station Road, Kali Dass Marg, Pankha Road, Africa Avenue Marg, August Karanti Marg, Subhash Marg, J.B. Tito Marg, Press Enclave Road, and Jai Road, added the statement.
