Paper challans and police notice books will be phased out and replaced by Bluetooth enabled printers and database located at the state data centre. The main objective is to reduce paper and the use of paper, the officials said today.
They said the system - using Blackberry devices - has been well-received in Bangalore and was now extended to the rest of the state.
