Traffic restrictions in Lutyens Zone for Modi-Sharif meeting

Delhi Police today advised commuters to avoid certain roads around Hyderabad House in Lutyens' Zone where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to hold bilateral talks with his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif from 9 A.M. Tomorrow.
"The Prime Minister shall host the visiting (Pakistan) Prime Minister for discussions at Hyderabad House from 0900 hours. To facilitate the movement of the VVIPs to and fro Hyderabad House and maintain smooth flow of traffic in the area, adequate traffic arrangements have been made," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Anil Shukla.
According to a Delhi Police traffic advisory, the restrictions would apply to Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, Janpath, Ashoka Road, Jaswant Singh Road, Abai Marg, Battle Honours Mess Marg, Manas Marg and Panchsheel Marg.
Other roads which will be affected include Kautilya Marg, South Avenue Road, Kushak Road, Rajaji Marg, Safdarjung Road, Krishna Menon Marg, Tees January Marg, Motilal Nehru Marg, Maulana Azad Road, Rajpath, Dr Rajendra Prasad Road and 'C' Hexagon, India Gate.
"Motorists and general public are requested to avoid these roads during the VVIP movement tomorrow. They are also requested to adhere to the directions of the traffic policemen on duty," Shukla said.
