Train passenger dies in freak mishap

In a freak mishap, a 44-year old passenger standing at the entrance of a bogie of an express train died after the door suddenly slammed on him, police said.
Maheswaran, travelling by the Tenkasi-bound Pothigai Express from Chennai, was standing at the entrance holding the iron bars when the door hit him so forcefully that he lost balance and fell down from the moving train near Sholavandan near here.
He died of head injuries on the spot, police added.
