Train services in the Kozhikode-Mangaluru section of Southern Railway has been suffered a delay of more than two hours after the snapping of an Overhead Equipment (OHE) wire today at Kottikulam, about 13 kms from here, officials said.
The wire was found fallen on the down line track of Mangaluru around 7.45 pm following which the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangaluru Parasuram express and Chennai Egmore-Mangaluru MAQ express were held at Kanhangad station in the district, PRO of Southern Railway's Palakkad division said.
Traction staff led by Senior section engineer, Railway electrification attended the rectification work and allowed the trains with speed restrictions up to 30 kms, he said.
