Police, who intervened following complaints, said they have directed the institute to change the advertisement to avoid confusion among army job aspirants.
The National Academy of Pre-Recruitment Training (NAPT) which provides training to candidates who seek employment in government and private sector, had organised a pre-recruitment rally in the city and nearby Attingal earlier this month.
It was alleged that advertisements published by the institute in connection with the rally featured pictures of Army personnel and would give an impression that it was the actual recruitment rally of the Army.
Inspector General of Police Manoj Abraham said police had received a complaint against the institute in this regard and they had already directed it to make changes in the advertisement.
"Based on a complaint received, we carried out an inquiry and asked the institute management to make enough changes in their advertisement. We gave them a written direction and said they will face action if they do not comply with the direction," Abraham told PTI here.
