Transfast aims to become top remittance provider in east
Press Trust of India Patna Transfast, a global company dealing with money transfer, today claimed impressive growth in inward remittance transfers to Bihar and aimed to become number one player in the segment in the eastern region by next year.
The number of NRIs from Bihar has grown rapidly in recent years with their numbers doubling to 71,438 in 2011 against 36,493 in 2006, Transfast Director Samir Vidhate told reporters.
The number of NRIs from Bihar is likely to surpass more than two lakh by 2016, he said.
Vidhate said, "My company has been encouraged by strong growth in inward remittance in Bihar this year."
Vidhate is on a five-day visit to Patna with his team to explore business opportunities in Bihar.
