Transfer of KP principals 'discriminatory': NC
Press Trust of India Jammu Jammu and Kashmir National Conference today criticised the transfer of Kashmiri Pandit school principals to remote areas of the state despite their having served their tenures in far-flung regions like Ladakh and Kishtwar.
"We express anguish over transfer of Kashmiri Pandit principals to far-off areas despite having served their tenures in the Ladakh region and far-off areas like Marwah-Warwan and Kishtwar two years ago. It is highly discriminating," NC Minority Cell President M K Yogi said while addressing party workers at the Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan.
Yogi said transfer of Kashmiri Pandit principals was in contrast to the transfer policy of the government and sought immediate cancellation of the orders.
He claimed that while similarly placed principals have been posted within 15 km radius of their places of residence, the KP principals have been posted in remote areas of Doda district and Keran region in Kashmir Valley.
