National Conference working President Omar Abdullah today said Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra ordering transfers in state administration and the PDP and BJP entering into a seat sharing agreement for Rajya Sabha polls were sending confusing signals.
"Mixed and very confusing signals in J&K - @jkpdp and @BJP4India announce 2 RS candidates each confirming that they are fighting together," Omar wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
"At the same time the Governor has ordered a massive list of transfers in the police and civil administration indicating he's staying," he said.
Omar said if the PDP and BJP can come together for the Rajya Sabha polls, why do not the two parties cement the "marriage of convenience".
"So what I don't get is if the @jkpdp & @BJP4India can combine for the Rajya Sabha polls when not just cement the marriage of convenience," he added.
Omar's last tweet was an an apparent reference to the deadlock over government formation in the state.
The assembly polls, whose results were declared on December 23 last, threw up a fractured mandate. PDP emerged as the single largest party with 28 seats in the 87-member House. BJP bagged 25 seats, NC 15 and Congress 12.
