The new installment of the Emmy-winning series will begin production next year and is expected to premiere later in 2018, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The half-hour-long show stars Jeffrey Tambor as Mort, the patriarch of the Pfefferman family, who comes out as transgender and begins to live life as Maura.
Judith Light plays Maura's former wife Shelly, with actors Gaby Hoffman, Jay Duplass and Amy Landecker playing their children.
The entire Pfefferman family is expected to be back for the fifth season.
"We're so excited to see what magic Jill and the incredible team bring to this always groundbreaking series in season five."
The fourth season of Jill Soloway's show will release its 10 episodes on September 22.
