Omprakash was arrested last night, an official of the Anti-Corruption Bureau said today.
Omprakash, posted at an outpost at Shahpura in the district, had been taking Rs 1,200-1,300 per truck for some time.
But this time, he demanded Rs 3,000 per truck from operator Ramesh Chaudhary and struck a deal at Rs 80,000 for allowing his 16 trucks to pass.
He was arrested while taking Rs 40,000 as the first instalment, the official said.
He was placed under arrest today and is being interrogated, the official said.
