"Around three months ago, we launched the products under Tecno Mobile brand in Punjab, Gujarat and Rajasthan. We are targeting to be among the top five smart phone brands in India in offline space by the end of December 2018," Tecno CEO Anish Kapoor said after the launch of the brand here.
"We will offer a three months window between 11 and 13 months and a customer will have option to get 50 per cent of the price for any Tecno mobile upgrades," he said.
Kapoor, however, did not give details of the sales target by December 2018 in value or volume.
He said Transsion Holdings is expanding its footprint in 15 major markets like Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Jharkhand, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka anf the north eastern states.

According to him, 65-70 per cent of the overall smartphone market in the country cent is offline and the rest is online.
The mobile maker, which had launched Infinix brand in online smartphone space in August 2017, is again aiming for 8-10 per cent market share of the online market, he said.
The company claimed it has over 40 per cent market share in sub-Saharan African countries.
