Tree House Q2 Net rises 9.76% to Rs 12.59 crore

Tree House Education and Accessories, India's largest self-operated pre-school chain, has reported 9.76 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 12.59 crore for the quarter ended September, against Rs 11.47 crore in the same period last year.
The total income for the second quarter rose 20.52 per cent to Rs 49.76 crore as compared to Rs 41.29 crore posted in the same period of the last financial year, the company said in a statement.
The company reported 37.77 per cent rise in operational EBITDA which stood at Rs 62.96 crore in first half of FY15.
Revenue from operations rose 26.18 per cent to Rs 103.67 crore in first half of FY15 while net profit rose 20.46 per cent to Rs 28.63 crore.
"Our pre-school network saw a healthy growth trajectory as we added 33 centres in new and existing geographies. This quarter, we entered 8 new cities and are now present in 75 cities across India with a network of 538 pre-schools," its Managing Director Rajesh Bhatia said.
"We have successfully launched daycare services across the country. We aim to leverage our daycare centres on our extensive network of pre-school centres. We believe that this will be a significant contributor to our revenue in the future," he added.
