A tremor of 4.4 magnitude today shook central Nepal, nearly 14 months after a massive earthquake devastated the Himalayan nation killing about 9,000 people.
The epicentre of the tremor, that hit the region at 11.34 am local time, was located at Nuwakot district, 80 kilometres southwest of the capital Kathmandu.
The National Seismological Centre said today's was the 461st aftershock with 4 or more magnitude since the 7.8 magnitude quake hit the country on April 25 last year.
The previous aftershock was recorded on June 14 with its epicentre in Gorkha district.
