A tribal girl was allegedly raped by five men in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh district, police said Friday.
Four of the accused have been arrested.
The incident took place in Lailunga area of the district on Wednesday night when the victim, a Class 11 student, had gone to visit a fair on the occasion of Sharad Purnima with her family, a local police official said.
A group of seven men allegedly abducted her in a car and took her to an isolated spot, he said.
Five of them allegedly raped her. The accused later abandoned her at the spot and fled, the official said.
The girl reached home Thursday morning, after which a police complaint was lodged.
A case was registered under IPC sections 376 (d) (gang rape), 363 (kidnapping) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
Of the seven accused, four were arrested Friday while the search was on for others, the police official said.
