Secretary of Tribal Affairs Vibha Puri Das will chair the meeting which will be attended by all the Directors and Deputy Secretaries in the Ministry, officials said today.
"The meeting will discuss all the proposals to be released and sanctioned by the Ministry in the year 2012-13 and the physical and financial progress of previous releases and pending utilisation certificates," they said.
It will also hold discussions on the evaluation studies conducted by the states for the programs being initiated by the Ministry and the final results or inputs needed for them, the officials said.
The Tribal Affairs Ministry has already communicated the program schedule to all the concerned Ministries, departments, state governments and union territories.
The Ministry has been running a slew of programs and measures for uplift of lives of forest dwellers in far flung areas. It has been conducting their periodic reviews and assessment to measure their impacts.
"The objective of the meeting will be to take a considered decision on the changes required in these programs and other additional initiatives," the officials said.
