Tribal newborn kid dies as doctor denies admission to mother

Tribals alleged that the Dr M L Agrawal who was on duty at the time of incident misbehaved with the patient and her attendants, asking them to go back by refusing to admit her.

Following this, the woman sat at the premises of the hospital and delivered her child, but the newborn died due to alleged lack of care.

Enraged over the incident, tribals along with the woman's husband Lovkush Adivasi staged a protest demanding registration of a case against the duty doctor and other staff, after which police and other officials reached the spot to pacify the agitating tribals.

However, the tribals gave up only when police assured them of booking a case in this regard.
