A senior police officer said the middle-aged woman was assaulted by the youths at her residence in Kanakpally area last night following an altercation over dispute on fencing with her neighbour.
The woman's daughter was threatened by the attackers who barged inside the home, the officer said quoting the FIR lodged by the woman's family today.
The woman has been hospitalised but in stable condition.
Of the six persons, named in the FIR, one Gobinda Bera has been arrested, the officer said.
