Thousands of tribal women from remote parts of the district today marched to the district collectorate here demanding proper implementation of the Food Security Act.
The women carried placards demanding effective implementation of the scheme that entails providing subsidised rice, wheat and millet per month.
The women alleged that they were left out when it comes to give them benefit under the provisions of the Act.
They squatted on the roads in front of the Circuit House and shouted anti-government slogans.
The morcha was lead by the founder of Shramajivi Sanghatana Vivek Pandit, also an MLA, and others.
