The entire eastern border area of Gujarat falling in Dangs district in South Gujarat to Ambaji in North Gujarat bordering Rajasthan is tribal-dominated. Kawant is situated near the tri-junction of MP, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
"About one lakh tribals from different states have assembled here to participate in this fair," Ramsinh Rathwa BJP MP and tribal leader elected from the reserved Chhotaudepur Lok Sabha constituency told PTI.
Naranbhai Rathwa, another tribal community leader from the area and a former union minister of state for railways said, "This is the biggest fair of tribals in Gujarat".
