Germany-based lighting solutions company Trilux plans to invest Rs 100 crore in India by 2016 to scale up business, including setting up of a production unit.
Trilux Lighting India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Arnsberg-headquartered firm, is looking to contribute at least 10 per cent of the parent's global revenue from India in the next five years.
"We are seriously looking to invest in India. We would be investing a minimum Rs 100 crore by 2016," Trilux Lighting India Director and CEO Gulshan Aghi told PTI.
He said the company is also working on having its own production unit in India, either by setting up its own facility or through acquisition.
"We are keen to invest through mergers or acquisitions and start our own production in India and the plans are being worked out," Aghi said.
Stating that the company is scouting for a location, he said talks were on with various state governments, and investment depends on benefits offered such as tax incentives.
