Trinamool bereft of ideas: Yechury
Press Trust of India New Delhi Trinamool Congress has become bereft of ideas as it blamed the CPI(M) for every problem in West Bengal, senior CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said today.
"If you have bad drains, it is because of the CPI(M). Anybody who does not comply with the TC diktat is a CPI(M) agent," Yechury said.
He was commenting on TC leader Mukul Roy's reported statement that the State Election Officer was a CPI(M) agent.
"It (TC's accusations against CPI-M) is now getting boring. The TC does not have any creativity to come up with new excuses for its own failures. It has become bereft of ideas," Yechury said in a tongue-and-cheek remark.
Asked about Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee's statement that general elections would be held in the next 2-3 months, he said, "It is virtually impossible to react to what the Trinamool leader says. I don't know how much the TC leader herself believes in what she says.
