Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today appealed to the BSF to be more cautious while resorting to firing and maintain cordial relation with the people living in the border areas.
"I would appeal to BSF personnel to be more cautious while opening fire and develop and maintain a cordial relation with the people living along the Indo-Bangla border areas," Sakar said after inaugurating a composite Border Outpost (BoP) at Ghosh Khamarpara in South Tripura district.
"BSF is our pride which is persistently guarding our border and fighting to stop the entry of insurgents into our territory from neighbouring Bangladesh," he said.
With the inauguration of the new outpost, the state has 246 BoPs along the 856-km-long Tripura-Bangladesh Border.
