"We can sell 100 mw power to Bangladesh from our share which will further improve our relation with the neighbouring country and help develop our state," he said after inaugurating a 21 Mg watt gas based thermal power project at Rukhia in West Tripura district yesterday.
For the purpose, the state had already sent proposal to the central government, he said.
If Tripura could sell its surplus power, the revenue would would help develop the state, Sarkar said.
Beside, the North East Electric Power Corporation's 104 Mg watt gas based thermal power project would be operational by January next and the entire generation would be utilized in the state, he said.
