Despite the State having a budget of Rs 1.30 lakh crore, the Government is not able to release Rs 8,000 crore to clear crop loan waiver dues and also funds for welfare of other sections of society, Telangana Congress President N Uttam Kumar Reddy told reporters here.
"Telangana's budget for 2016-17 is of Rs 1.30 lakh crore. Even if we assume that the government would be spending Rs 1 lakh this fiscal, then during the last six months, it must have spent Rs 50,000 crore.
This shows the TRS Government is insensitive towards the cultivators, he said.
The TPCC President said the Congress would launch a mass contact programme in all districts of Telangana.
