Truck driver arrested, narcotics seized

A truck driver was arrested and narcotics were seized from his possession in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, the police said today.
Acting on a specific tip-off, the truck was intercepted after a naka was laid in the Nud area of the district yesterday, they said.
During a search of the vehicle, 450 gm of poppy straw and 18 gm of cannabis was seized from its driver, Vikram Singh, they added.
The contraband was seized and the accused arrested, police said, adding a case has been registered at the Samba police station.
