Truck driver climbs electric tower

Upset with the miserable conditions of his life, a truck driver today climbed up a 100 feet electric tower here and threatened the gathering crowd of committing suicide, police said.
Praveen (30), a driver, also carried a rope with him when he climbed up the high voltage tower in Bhanokheri village of the district. He came down after the police team assured him that his demand will be fulfilled, SHO, Sadar police station Mahmood Singh said.
Later, upset Praveen told reporters that he did not have any piece of land in the village and owns a truck which is his only source of income but due to his expired license he is unable to earns any money.
His had heavy vehicle driving license issued by licensing authority, Nagaland expired three months back. He had applied for the new license to licensing authority, Ambala around two months back but the officials were allegedly not issuing the driving license for which his truck was lying abandoned in his village, he said.
He also claimed that his family members had been starving for a few days because of which decided to commit suicide as he could not see his family members hungry.
