The incident was reported from Azadpur market yesterday and the victim has been identified as Deepak, who worked as a truck conductor, they said.
He was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
"He had an argument with his driver Kalla on Saturday night over some issue. Kalla hit him on his head with a heavy object and fled the spot," police said.
