Truck falls into canal in Haryana

A truck which was on its way to Punjab from Rajasthan fell into a canal along Chautala Road in Sirsa district of Haryana today.
"The truck fell into the canal in Abushehr village. The driver may have dozed off or lost balance over the vehicle," Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dabwali, Satya Pal said.
There was no immediate confirmation as to how many were on board the ill-fated vehicle.
Asked about estimate of the number of people in the truck, Pal said, "We cannot make a guess till the time we locate the truck and fish out any bodies or trace out any survivor."

"There is a possibility that there could be just the driver and his cleaner on board. We have pressed the divers into service and they are at the job," he said.
