US president-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday cancelled his meeting with the New York Times describing it as a "failing" newspaper which he alleged had changed the terms and conditions of the interview at the last moment.
"I cancelled today's meeting with the failing @nytimes when the terms and conditions of the meeting were changed at the last moment. Not nice," Trump said in a tweet about the daily with which he has repeatedly clashed for what he alleges is its unfair coverage of him.
"Perhaps a new meeting will be set up with the @nytimes. In the meantime they continue to cover me inaccurately and with a nasty tone!," Trump said in another tweet.
In another tweet, Trump said, "Great meetings will take place today at Trump Tower concerning the formation of the people who will run" his government for the next eight years.
