'Trutiya Prastuti Committee' demands money from businessman

Ultra outfit 'Trutiya Prastuti Committee', a splinter group of the CPI(Maoist) has demanded of Rs five lakh or an AK-47 rifle from a businessman of Palamau district, police said today.
Textile shop-owner Govind Gupta received a phone call from the outfit demanding the amount or the sophisticated fire-arm and an FIR has been lodged under Bisrampur police station in this connection, Superintendent of Police, Y S Ramesh said.
A scared Gupta did not open his shop today.
Ramesh told newsmen that a search was on to apprehend the culprits.
A similar call had been made by the ultras from the same mobile number to the owner of a school on March 13 but the police did not take it seriously even though an FIR was lodged.
A delegation of Jharkhand State Vaishya Mahasabha today met the state Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar in Ranchi today and demanded adequate security to the businessman as well as arrest of the culprits.
