TTD, which administers the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara near here, has issued legal notices to former chief priest A V Ramana Dikshitulu and YSR Congress MP Vijaya Sai Reddy over certain allegations made by them against some temple officials.
The decision to issue the notices was taken during a recently-held meeting of the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) board, TTD sources told PTI today.
The notices had been sent to the two persons as they had separately made allegations in the media which, according to the TTD, had maligned the image of the shrine and hurt the sentiments of the devotees as well.
The 69-year old Dikshitulu's tenure as chief priest came to an end last month after the TTD decided to fix the retirement age of priests at all temples administered by it at 65.
He had last month made the allegations of corruption against officials of the temple.
