Tuition teacher attempts rape on 10-year-old pupil in Haryana

A tuition teacher in his thirties allegedly attempted to rape her 10-year-old pupil at Khori village in Surajkund area of the district, police said today.
The accused teacher, identified as Netram of the same village, has been arrested, they said.
According to the complaint by her mother, the girl was molested by the accused during the private class on Tuesday. When she tried making noise, Netram gagged her mouth and threatened to kill her, police said.
The girl's mother, police said, came to know of the incident on Wednesday when she refused to take the tuitions. On being asked, the girl narrated the ordeal to her mother who then filed a complaint with the police, SHO Surajkund Narender Singh said.
A case has been lodged against Netram at Surajkund police station under section 354 and 506 of the IPC and section 8 of POCSO, the SHO said adding that the accused was arrested on the same date of filing of the FIR.
