Tuition teacher held for sexual assault of minor girl

A 28-year old man was today arrested for alleged sexual assault of a minor girl attending tuition classes at his house near here and causing abortion of her pregnancy without her knowledge.
Sathiamurthy of Pudhupadiayur was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and under IPC for cheating and causing miscarriage without woman's consent, police said.
He was taking tuition for the girl, a class X student. Some five months ago, he had sex with her and the girl become pregnant. Sathiamurthy with the help of a friend got her some tablet saying it was vitamin.

The girl suffered an abortion and realised she had been duped. When she asked him to marry her, Sathiamurthy had refused.
She lodged a complaint with the All-Women Police station here and Inspector Rekarani, after inquiry, arrested Sathiamurthy.
Police said they were on the lookout for his friend.
