The Tanistan National Front (TNF), a conglomeration of various progenies of Abo-Tani, today urged Chief Minister Nabam Tuki to initiate measures to bring various communities under the Tani tribe under one umbrella for their overall development.
In a memorandum submitted to the chief minister, the organization said there was no social harmony among the descendants of Abo-Tani on because of political differences and region.
"Time has come for the progenies of Tani tribe like Apatani, Adi, Galo, Mishing, Nyishi and Tagin to wake up, think and work together for bringing in unity and integrity so that the Tani descendants march and work together for overall development," TNF president Gicho Kabak said in the memorandum.
The Front also demanded recognition of Tani script for writing Tani language saying that the script would be a great tool to knit the scattered tribes together.
