The 28-year-old singer says she has bounced back after relaunching her career as a solo artist, reported Digital Spy.
"I call it the blackout period. It's just something that is part of the journey, part of life, made me into who I am," she said.
Tulisa said her sex tape was "definitely a regret" and that her drink driving conviction was a "mistake".
The singer also spoke about using fillers in her lips.
"It was fillers and I had an allergic reaction and I looked like Finding Nemo. Well, they were all temporary so they dissolve. I did actually dissolve some myself.
She insisted she has learnt some valuable lessons which will help her to make better decisions in the future.
"I think hard times either bring out the best in you or the worst, and I think I've luckily managed to bring out all the positives in myself," she said.
