Turmeric, coriander decline on muted demand

Prices of tuemric and coriander drifted by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale kirana market today due to muted demand against sufficient stocks position.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions mainly led to decline in turmeric and coriander prices.
In the national capital, turmeric lost Rs 100 at Rs 9,100-12,900 per quintal. Coriander also enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 10,800-15,800 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 150-190, black pepper (per kg) 730-900, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,370-1,420 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,750-1,800.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 770-820, cardamom (colour robin) 750-780, cardamom bold 770-790, cardamom extra (bold) 890-940 and cloves 650-750.
