At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in April declined by Rs 50, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 7,524 per quintal with an open interest of 15,780 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in May shed Rs 46, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 7,630 per quintal in 11,280 lots.
Analysts said besides lower demand in the spot market, higher supply from producing areas mainly pulled down turmeric prices at futures trade.
