Turmeric and jeera prices recovered by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely on the back of a pick-up in demand from retailers and stockists amid restricted arrivals from growing regions.
Turmeric prices were up by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 9,800-13,300 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 16,100-16,300 and Rs 18,100-18,600 per quintal.
Traders said apart from pick-up in demand from retailers and stockists against restricted arrivals from growing regions, mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
