Fall in supplies from producing belts also supported the upside in prices.
Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 7,800-12,600 per quintal.
Jeera common and best quality also increased by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 11,200-11,500 and Rs 14,500-15,000 per quintal.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices.

Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 770-920, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,470 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,680.
