Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 6,900-11,500 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 10,500-10,800 and Rs 14,000-14,200 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts pushed turmeric and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 700-850, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,350-1,400 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,450-1,560.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 720-770, cardamom (colour robin) 700-760, cardamom bold 750-770, cardamom extra (bold) 920-970 and cloves 800-850.
