Firming trend in futures market also supported the uptrend.
Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 6,900-11,500 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 10,500-10,800 and Rs 14,000-14,200 per quintal, respectively.
