An econometric analysis and traders' survey carried out by Agro Marketing Intelligence and Business Promotion Centre in the University here revealed that the expected export demand coupled with demand from North India and crop position may increase the price in February, next year.
So it was adviseable for the farmers to store and sell turmeric in February, 2015.
The prevailing price of turmeric in Erode market, considered to be a major market, is Rs 5,800 to Rs 6,800 per quintal, it said.
