The Chennai-based company had sold 1,85,997 units in the same month last year.
Total two-wheeler sales during the month increased by 12.39 per cent to 2,01,233 units as against 1,79,036 units in the same month last year, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.
Motorcycle sales grew by 19.85 per cent to 83,374 units in January as compared to 69,564 units in the same month a year ago.
Scooter sales rose by 14 per cent to 62,552 units as against 54,830 units in the same month last year.
