The Chennai-based company had sold 1,95,937 units in the same month last year.
Total two-wheeler sales during the month grew 19.5 per cent to 2,22,350 units as against 1,86,041 in the same month a year ago, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.
Motorcycle sales rose 20.7 per cent to 90,491 units in April, compared with 74,953 in the same month a year ago.
Scooter sales surged 28.3 per cent to 63,341 units as against 49,375 in the same period a year ago.
