It would create awareness about the laparoscopic treatment for the disease, Dr C Palanivelu, Chairman of Gem Hospital and Research Centre, the organisors, told reporters here today.
Unlike in the past where open surgery was found to be recurring within two to three months, the laparoscopic correction will be permanent cure for such disorders, he said.
At the twin conference-- the 3rd Gyno Lap and 6th Endo Hernia, nine surgeries on hernia and gynaecological problem will be telecast from the hospital to the venue, where nearly 500 delegates, including a few foreign faculty, would be attending the conference, he said.
