Delhi Police has arrested two accused in connection with a case of car theft, robbery and attempt to murder of a sales manager in Noida two weeks ago.
The accused, Sanjay and his associate Sailu, were arrested from Noida and a car and laptop was recovered from their possession, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Prem Nath.
The case came to light when one Gurpreet Bedi, a businessman from Vasant Vihar, filed a police complaint that his company's sales manager Kapil Kondal had gone to attend a business meeting on September 12 in Greater Noida in his car when he was intercepted by the miscreants.
"At around 4.30 PM, when Kapil was parking his vehicle on service lane near village Raipur at Taj Expressway, the accused dragged him outside the car and tried to stab him. When he resisted, one of them took out a pistol and shot at him. The bullet hit a passerby on the road. They then robbed Kapil of his car, mobile phone and laptop and escaped from the spot," Nath said.
