Two-and-half year old girl raped and abandoned in Surat

In a gruesome incident, a two-and-half year old girl was raped and left abandoned in a pool of blood in Pandesara area, police said today.
"A two and half year-old girl was kidnapped late last night and then raped by some unidentified persons. She was found in a pool of blood lying unconscious near the Pandesara area here," police inspector V G Patel said.
The girl went missing last night from her residence at Pandesara, after which her parents started searching for her, Patel said.
Today, she was found unconscious by a labourer.
The girl was handed over to her parents, who approached the police and filed a complaint, he said.

Later, she was sent to the Surat Civil hospital for a medical examination, Patel said, adding that a case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code along with other sections of Protection of Child against Sexual Offences (POCSO) has been registered against unidentified people.
All the accused are on the run and police is trying hard to nab them, Patel said.
