Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a vehicle near Barahpura and seized the jewellery after Virendra Prasad, who was carrying those, failed to produce any document in this regard, Senior Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar said.
Prasad's driver Ramakant Thakur too has been arrested. They were giving conflicting statements about the source of the jewellery worth Rs 45 lakh, Kumar said, adding both the accused hailed from Saharsa district.
